Friends tell me its tacky that I do this %26amp; the worker probably doesn't finish the treatment (I snore really loud with my mouth open). I don't think it should be a big deal.Has anyone ever fallen asleep %26amp; snored during a spa treatment like a massage or facial? Do you think its rude?
i have fallen asleep during a massage but i was in school for it at the time. people fall asleep while im giving them a massage all the time. i dont think its rude. in fact it makes me feel good that i was able to relax my client enough to fall asleep. no one that i know would cut your treatment short because of it and if one of us did your body would probably be able to tell you anyway. so dont worry about it. falling asleep relaxes the body and it all works together so if you want to fall asleep go for it bc its kind of a compliment.Has anyone ever fallen asleep %26amp; snored during a spa treatment like a massage or facial? i do massage for a living, and a few of my clients have fallen asleep, we were taught to wake up the client using what we call ';tapotment'; that means we use brisk taps with our hands or fingers (the karate chop looking move is a harsh rough form of tapotment) that normally awakens the client and then i continue where i left off. if they would rather sleep, or i cannot wake them, i continue the massage as a relaxation massage. and wake them when our time is up. i don't think its rude. some people pay to have an hour super nap. u wake up feeling great. iv done it.
These people come across stuff like this all the time. Don't worry about it. If your massage is relaxing enough to put you to sleep than the massager should feel like a job well done.
