Spa facial with a cold sore?

I got a cold sore yesterday (obviously I still have it today), and I made a spa appointment for a facial scheduled for today several weeks ago. I cannot cancel or reschedule the appointment, and was wondering if I could still go to my appointment? The cold sore is on my upper lip (on the skin, not on my lips), if that makes a difference.Spa facial with a cold sore?

yes you can still have a spa treatment. I have cold sores all the time but that is besides the point. Just let them know what it is and they will work around it. have a good day at the spa
I would also buy some cold sore cream like abreva to ellivate some of the irritation. going to the spa for a facial will only make it worse, plus it will probably hurt like heck if they get an sort of solution on it. it could also spread over more of your lip. even though the virus and sore will not spread the irritation around the skin and cold sore can definately spread. its like popping a pimple, then irritating it more, it makes the whole area around it red and icky. the only way to really get around it without making it worse... put on of those small circular bandaids over it, the kind they use for warts and stuff. it will keep it protected and make sure the irritation doesnt spread
